Service Staff *To achieve the status of General Motors World Class Technician Certification the technician must have successfully completed GM Master Technician Certifications in eight mechanical areas along with the accompanying ASE certifications. The technician then must complete a rigorous eight day assessment process at the GM training facility in which a certifier observes and rates the technician’s performance, skill proficiency, and knowledge in diagnostic and troubleshooting skills by hands-on exercises. The technician must achieve an 80% or higher in each of the eight mechanical areas. Upon meeting these requirements the technician will be awarded the status of General Motors World Class Technician.
